About Me

Mom

I am a mom to three biological daughters who have given me vast personal feeding experience, from breastfeeding to G-tube. With these experiences, I felt first-hand the lack of knowledge and support that is

available for infant feeding as a whole and the mental struggle that results from a difficult feeding journey. My oldest was formula fed from 6 days old after being diagnosed with a metabolic condition that doesn't allow her to have breast milk. She then received her first NG tube at 3 months old and had her G-tube placed at 6 months old. Feeding was a struggle for years, including feeding solids that required feeding therapy. With my second daughter, I was able to exclusively breastfeed for 6 months (breast and bottle) before introducing solids via Baby Led Weaning. My third daughter was born prematurely and diagnosed with the same genetic condition as my first, but we were able to mix half breast milk and half specialty formula to be fed via G-tube. Due to mixing her feedings, I exclusively pumped for 10 months.

I also am a foster mom to lots of little loves. There is always enough love to go around in our home.

Nurse

I became a Registered Nurse in February of 2013. In my years of practice, I have had the pleasure of working PostPartum, NICU, Pre-Op/PACU, and Pediatrics. My passion has been in working in Pediatric Emergency medicine, where I have been able to develop skills and lifelong knowledge in many areas.

Lactation Consultant

My passion for lactation support started while working in the NICU and has only grown and evolved. In my personal and professional experiences, I have been able to see all sides of the feeding journey and the lack of support that comes in choosing the way you feed your infant. My goal is to change the narrative. I will love on, build up and support you no matter how your feeding journey begins, or the path it takes.
